Steam-distilled from the flowering plant of Origanum vulgare. Oil of Oregano is a premium fighter of viral, bacterial and parasitic infections. It's also very powerful in treating respiratory ailments. The naturally occuring component of carvacrol in this oil is being studied for efficacy as an anti-cancer and anti-tumorial agent. This is a very strong and "hot" oil that should be diluted prior to topical use at LEAST at a 50/50 ratio with only a few drops being applied at a time. Skin-patch test for sensitivity should always be conducted prior to use. Further dilutions for topical applications may be needed.
